How do I program the board? I've loaded the counting_to_twelve program while the interface board was plugged in but nothing is happening.

Hello Nick:

I saw your other post about loading your own WAV files into a program, so I'm assuming that you were able to get the counting_one_to_twelve program loaded up and working with the interface board. If not, let us know and we'll keep this discussion going.

I've not, that's why I'm wondering if I did something wrong.

I've loading the program while plugged into the other board, have a green light in the board, speaker soldered on and single trigger button. But no sound when triggered

I think there might be some confusion. The Interface Board is the one with the twelve buttons and four LEDs on it. The Project Board is the small, squarish board that plugs into the brown connector on the main Fox board. Are you trying to program the Project Board?

If so, then plug the Project Board into the brown connector. If you have batteries connected to the Project Board, make sure they are removed first. In the Hardware Programmer window, make sure you select the Project Board as the target. The field should say "Foxonix Project Board (Socket)" This will cause the binary file to be loaded onto the Project Board instead of the development board.

Once the Project Board is programmed, you can remove it from the socket and use it stand-alone. If you're hooking up a button to the Project Board, one side of the button should be hooked up to the input pin on the board and the other side of the button should be hooked up to power.

Let me know if this helps.

It's working, this is awesome!

One other question, I would like to use a small amp for it, and suggestions?

Excellent! Glad you got it up and running, and thanks for the feedback that you think it's awesome! You can help us by spreading the word, and maybe you can post some photos or video of what you're working on.

We have designed a small board that plugs into the Fox Board or the Project Board which allows you to hook up PC speakers or an external amplifier. It's not available for sale yet, but should be available in the next few weeks. In the meantime, I have attached the schematic for you in case you want to rig it up yourself.
